NEURORADIOLOGY PROGRAM

Overview

The didactic module is interested in the formation on the use and interpretation of the results of neuroimaging techniques in the field of the main neurological diseases.


Aims and Content

Aims and Learning Outcomes

The student will be able to know the normal and the pathologic results of CT and MRI exams of the central and peripheral nervous system and bone and meningeal related structures. In particular, will be able to know the main neuro-radiologic findings in strokes, cerebral tumors, infective, inflammatory, and degenerative diseases of the nervous system.


Teaching Methods

Frontal lessons with emblematic case presentation; practice sessions with the aim of enhancing professional skills.


Syllabus/Content

The teacher explains the main neuro-radiologic techniques and their relevance in the diagnosis and prognosis of neurologic diseases.


Recommended Reading/Bibliography

In addition to the recommended textbooks for the Neurology course, the teachers will recommend bibliographic references to articles relating to the most recent competencies in neuroradiology.
