Educational Objectives

The educational objectives of this course include:


  • Acquiring knowledge related to the morphological characteristics and functioning of the central nervous system
  • Acquiring notions of cytology, tissue organization, and general embryology
  • Acquiring knowledge of the essential morphological characteristics of different systems, apparatus, and organs
  • Understanding the fundamental biological organization and basic biochemical and cellular processes
  • Knowing the general laws of inheritance of characters in living organisms and understanding their transmission
  • Knowing the main mechanisms of transmission and the laws of inheritance applied to human pathology
  • Developing the ability to explain, in a simple manner, the biological processes that underlie living organisms
  • Developing awareness of the biological diversity of pathogenic microorganisms for humans
