Course Description
The course aims to provide useful knowledge for implementing relational skills between healthcare operators, patients, and caregivers.
Objectives and Contents
Educational Objectives
- Acquire fundamental competencies to identify the assistance needs of patients with physical and psychological disabilities and elaborate the related care plan.
- Understand general concepts and methodologies for approaching and managing patients with psychiatric disorders.
Detailed Educational Objectives and Learning Outcomes
The topics covered will focus on the epistemological foundations of the discipline, intervention models, and competencies of Clinical Psychology, particularly the bio-psycho-social model and communication.
Teaching Methods
- Frontal teaching in the classroom supported by exercises, role-playing, and clinical case studies.
Program/Content
The course proposes to analyze the epistemological foundations of the discipline, methods and techniques in clinical psychology, interpersonal relationships, strategies for coping with stress, the sick person and their psychological reactions, work maladjustment and Burnout, diagnosis, and organizational intervention.
