Presentation

The presentation of the program is focused on the acquisition of practical knowledge necessary for designing and realizing the rehabilitation of patients who require the restoration of dental arch integrity with fixed or mobile prostheses.

Objectives and Contents

Objectives

The objective of this internship is to acquire the practical knowledge necessary for the rehabilitation of partially or totally edentulous patients with various types of prostheses. Through practical-applicative activities carried out in the laboratory and on mannequins, students will acquire the techniques and procedures indispensable for clinical activity.

Modalities of Teaching

The internship is practical, carried out on study models, extracted teeth, simulators, and mannequins, aiming to acquire, through practical-applicative activities, the techniques and procedures necessary for clinical activity.

Program/Content

The program focuses on the acquisition of practical knowledge for rehabilitating patients requiring the restoration of dental arch integrity with fixed or mobile prostheses. The internship aims to provide students with the knowledge necessary to diagnose, develop a treatment plan, and realize correct prosthetic rehabilitation through practical experience and direct participation under tutorship.

Modalities of Assessment

Details on preparation for the exam and the depth of each topic will be provided during the teaching activities. Students must demonstrate the acquisition of theoretical-practical knowledge necessary for designing and realizing the rehabilitation of patients requiring the restoration of dental arch integrity with both mobile and fixed prostheses. The oral exam will assess the ability to manage the elaboration and realization of fixed and mobile prostheses, evaluating not only the level of knowledge and competence achieved but also the ability to critically analyze clinical-odontotechnical problems.
