Objectives and Contents

Educational Objectives

The objectives of this program are to:

• Provide adequate knowledge of the anatomical characteristics and functional aspects of the parodonto.
• Enable students to recognize different forms of parodontal disease, from acute and chronic gingivitis to juvenile and chronic parodontitis in adults.
• Familiarize students with the general principles of various surgical techniques aimed at resolving mucogingival problems, treating angular defects and radicular formations.
• Emphasize the importance of maintenance therapy and reevaluation after parodontal treatment.
