Course Objectives
The educational objective of this module is to provide students with the basic tools to approach the design of a pleasure boat between 12 and 24 meters in length and to develop the design of the subsets that make it up (planes, dashboards, etc.).
Detailed Course Objectives and Learning Outcomes
The course consists of theoretical and laboratory parts with weekly checks and reviews. The objective is to give students the tools to design a pleasure boat, focusing on its technical parts, and to develop the ability to set up a project, inserting it into its relevant market segment, and to develop general plans that allow for an exhaustive description of the boat.
Teaching Methods
The course is taught through frontal lessons by the teacher, guided exercises, and project laboratory in the classroom.

The main topics covered can be summarized into two macro-thematic areas: the general principles of design and the specifics of the nautical project in its technical parts.

Assessment Method
The evaluation of the project part consists of a comprehensive examination of the elaborations, the coherence between the initial requirements and the proposed project, the graphics of the construction plan drawings and general plans. The oral discussion of the project allows for the evaluation of the candidate's expressive and motivational abilities.
