Course Description

The course "Evoluzione degli organismi marini" provides a detailed examination of the evolution of major phyla of marine animals, with a focus on certain systems, apparatus, and aspects of functional morphology.

Objectives and Contents

Educational Objectives

The course aims to provide students with knowledge of the biodiversity of marine organisms, enabling them to understand their differences and identify them at least at the phylum level. The course will also cover the phylogenetic relationships between classes of marine invertebrates and vertebrates, as well as the major adaptations that have characterized their evolution.
