Educational Objectives and Contents

Educational Objectives

  • To provide the foundations of cellular and general physiology.
  • To enable students to study systems and apparatus of animals, understanding the laws and mechanisms by which individual cellular components exercise their function.
  • The laboratory aims to integrate the contents of the lectures with the study of experimental models and the learning of methods for evaluating physiological parameters.

Prerequisites

  • Knowledge of the programs of Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry.
  • Knowledge of the main aspects of General Biology, with particular regard to cell structure and its components.

Teaching Methods

  • Students with a valid certification of physical or learning disability deposited with the University and who wish to discuss possible facilitations or other circumstances regarding lessons, tasks, and exams should speak with both the teacher and Professor Sara Ferrando, the Department's reference for disabilities.
