Course Objectives

The course aims to provide students with knowledge of the principles of geriatrics/gerontology, the impact of clinical conditions in old age on rehabilitation activities, and the ability to manage health emergencies in the elderly.


Teaching Methods

The course consists of lectures held in the 2nd semester of the 2nd year, using slide projections.

Exams

  • Exam Method: Mixed-mode exam with multiple-choice questions for the Medicine-First Aid and Geriatrics part (30 questions with 4 answers, one correct), and oral exam for the Rehabilitation part.
  • Assessment Method: The learning assessment takes place through a series of multiple-choice quizzes and an oral exam that aim to ascertain the student's effective acquisition of the essential information for the expected learning regarding the integrated course.

Notes

Students must achieve a score of at least 18/30 to pass the exam.
