The teaching aims to deepen the traditions, understand cultural differences, destructure stereotypes spread in society, and work on the concept of empathy with specific attention to migratory trauma.

At the end of the teaching, the student will be able to:

  • Know the differences in the care pathway for female and couple well-being, the different interpretations of the concept of health and normality to work together with women in respect of all parts.
  • Recognize the needs of foreign women even when they are not formally expressed.
  • Apply the knowledge provided during the lessons in the practical internship.
  • Distinguish what type of assistance is most appropriate for the patient not only from a clinical point of view but in a global sense to respect the couple's culture.
