Program Overview
Program Overview
The program in question is TEMI DI ARTE CONTEMPORANEA (LM), which translates to Contemporary Art Themes. This is an integrated course that offers a dual pathway within the realm of 20th and 21st-century art.
Presentation
The integrated teaching provides a double path within the art of the XX and XXI centuries: the first addresses methodological issues, the second proposes an in-depth critical analysis of the history of exhibitions, installations, and the evolution of the concept of "display" in contemporary times.
Objectives and Contents
Educational Objectives
By addressing general problems and specific themes related to 20th and 21st-century art, the integrated course aims to provide students with the methodological tools necessary for conducting specialized studies in the field of contemporary art. This involves constructing analysis paths around documentary sources, exhibition history, and contexts of use, with particular attention to public space and performative practices.
Prerequisites
A solid knowledge of art history and the history of the 19th and 20th centuries is required.

Exams
Examination Methods
The exam is oral.
Note
The registration of the vote in the career is unique and will only take place when both modules have been sustained. The Didactic Regulation determines, in Article 5, that the exams related to the integrated teachings of L-ART/01, L-ART/02, and L-ART/03, each composed of two modules, can be sustained in different appeals but, obligatorily, within the same academic year.
Verification Methods
Attending students may decide to take part of the exam through an in-itinere verification for each of the two modules.
The exam will take place orally, following the presentation of a written paper for each module, accompanied by images, notes, and specific bibliographic indications.
Calendar of Appeals
The calendar includes several dates for oral exams for both modules of the course, taking place in Genoa.
