Physician Associate Program

The Physician Associate program at the University of Reading has been developed in partnership with the Royal Berkshire Hospital and Berkshire Healthcare Trust. The program is taught by practicing healthcare professionals alongside academics, offering students an insight into current practice. The training consists of intensive evidence-based academic work and hands-on workplace experience, with considerable interaction with patients from early on in the studies.

The degree is designed to meet the requirements of the Department of Health's Competence and Curriculum Framework for the Physician Associate. Following the Leng Review, the University is expecting to change the name of the MPAS Physician Associate/MSc Physician Associate program and review the information listed on career outcomes.

Location

The University of Reading is ideally located in south-east England, with London and Oxford just half an hour away by train. There are multiple NHS Trusts and Clinical Commissioning Groups in and around Reading.
