Program Description
Philosophy is an in-depth examination of the reasoning behind views on a wide range of significant topics, including how one should live, what humans can know, and the nature of reality. It challenges assumptions about knowledge and living, concerned with how different worldviews clash or fit together, and how various perspectivesmoral, scientific, religious, metaphysical, personalmay be reconciled. Studying philosophy equips students with the ability to think logically, evaluate arguments critically, analyze and present complex ideas, and challenge their own and others' views.

The program's lecturers are experts in a variety of philosophical topics, with particular strengths in moral philosophy, philosophy of the mind, and language. Students also have the opportunity to study non-Western philosophies, especially Indian philosophy.
