Introduction to the International Foundation Programme

The International Foundation Programme (IFP) is a one-year standalone foundation programme designed to prepare students for undergraduate studies. The programme offers two entry points, allowing students to commence their studies in either September or January.

Programme Structure and Entry Points

• The IFP has different pathways depending on the subject of the student's final degree.
• January entry is not available for IFP science pathways.
• Upon successful completion of the programme and meeting any further required entry requirements, students are guaranteed the opportunity of a place on their undergraduate course at Reading.

Programme Outcomes and Progression

• The IFP is designed to provide a comprehensive foundation for undergraduate studies, ensuring that students are well-prepared for their chosen degree programme.
• Upon completion of the IFP, students can progress to their undergraduate course at Reading, subject to meeting the required entry requirements.
