MSc Agriculture and Development

The MSc Agriculture and Development degree is designed for those pursuing careers in rural development, agricultural extension, or research. This program examines the role of agriculture in international contexts, with a focus on addressing major challenges and opportunities in agricultural intensification and environmental sustainability.

Overview

Study at one of the UK's leading universities for environmental and ethical performance, ranked 4th in the People and Planet University League. You will critically examine how agriculture and agricultural research are addressing global challenges, particularly in tropical and subtropical regions of the developing world.

Entry Requirements

• Normally a good undergraduate honours degree (high 2:2 or above), or equivalent from a university outside the UK.
• Applicants with relevant career experience are also welcome to apply.
• Knowledge of agriculture or horticulture is desirable.
• For international students, evidence of English language proficiency may be required (e.g., IELTS: 6.5 overall with no element less than 5.5).

Fees

• New UK/Republic of Ireland students: £12,050 (full-time), with part-time fees calculated at 50% of the annual full-time fee.
• New international students: £26,450 (full-time), with part-time fees calculated at 50% of the annual full-time fee.
• Fees will increase each year according to inflation (up to 4%) and will be rounded up to the nearest £50.
