BSc Real Estate with Foundation
The BSc Real Estate with Foundation degree provides an understanding of the breadth and depth of the property sector, allowing students to make specialist choices later in the course. This four-year program includes a foundation year that leads directly into the three-year BSc Real Estate course.

Our BSc Real Estate with Foundation degree gives students an understanding of the property sector and allows them to make specialist choices later in the course. The four-year program includes a foundation year that leads directly into the three-year BSc Real Estate course.
Foundation Year
The foundation year provides students with the skills and knowledge to succeed at university. It offers:
- Access to full range of facilities and resources
- Full integration into university life before degree year begins
- Experience of an academic environment and ability to work independently
- Specialist support and guidance
BSc Real Estate
After completing the foundation year, students progress to the BSc Real Estate program, which supports them in:
- Building a strong understanding of core subject areas: economics, finance, business management, planning, building, law, and valuation
- Applying learning to complex real-world problems
Shape Your Degree
All Real Estate and Planning degrees offer flexibility to transfer between courses, allowing students' academic journeys to evolve with their interests and goals. Course transfers are available after the first or second year for single-honours courses. Students can also transfer from a BSc to an MPlan and vice versa.
Learning
Foundation Year
Students develop core skills in academic study, writing, and research, statistics, and data science, and business and management theory through a combination of lectures, tutorials, practical classes, and workshops.
BSc Real Estate
After the foundation year, the first two years introduce and develop core concepts and practical skills in Real Estate and Planning. Students learn through a combination of lectures, seminars, group work, tutorials, case studies, industry presentations, site visits, field trips, online learning, and independent study.
Entry Requirements
- A Level: CCC
- International Baccalaureate: 24 points overall
- GCSE: Maths and English Language or English Literature at grade C (4)
- BTEC Extended Diploma: DMM
- English language requirements: IELTS 6.5 overall, with no component below 5.5
