Program Overview
MSc Atmosphere, Ocean and Climate
The MSc Atmosphere, Ocean and Climate is a postgraduate program offered by the University of Reading, designed to provide students with a deep quantitative understanding of the climate system. The program is ranked 10th in the world for Atmospheric Science and is approved by the Royal Meteorological Society (RMetS).
Overview
The program focuses on the physical processes that produce weather, the physical and dynamical building blocks of the climate, and the numerical and computational methods used to construct state-of-the-art models of the climate system. Entry Requirements
- Normally a good undergraduate honours degree (2:2 or above) in a mathematical/physical science or a closely related subject.
- Prior knowledge of meteorology is not necessary.
- IELTS: 6.5 overall with no element less than 5.5.
- Prepare for the master's course by familiarizing yourself with recommended topics.
