Program Overview
The 12th Grade Building Science camp is a weeklong program hosted by the Auburn University McWhorter School of Building Science. It is designed for rising 12th grade students interested in the field of Construction Management.
Program Details
- The program will take place from June 8 to 12, 2026.
- Participants will learn from McWhorter School of Building Science faculty and current students about:
- Construction technology
- Materials and methods
- Plan reading and estimating
- Construction communication
- The week will end with a Construction Competition judged by Auburn Faculty, Staff, and Alumni.
- Participants will experience campus life while residing in Auburn's resident dormitories, eating at campus dining facilities, and enjoying evening social and recreational activities.
- Participants will have 24/7 counselor supervision.
- Cell phone usage will not be allowed during classroom lectures or hands-on experiences.

- The Application for this camp closes at 11:59am CST on Sunday, March 1, 2026.
- Decisions will be released in mid-March, and for those accepted, payment will be due by EOB on Wednesday, April 1.
- To apply, students must complete the online application in full, which includes:

- Uploading a high school transcript
- A letter of recommendation

Camp Fees
- Camp Fees are $925 and include:
- On-campus housing
- All meals, snacks, and drinks while at camp
- Program instruction, materials, and equipment
- Transportation to and from off-campus field-trip sites
- Recreational activities

- The Scholarship Application for CADC camps will close at 11:59am CST on Sunday, March 1, 2026.
- Decisions will be released in mid-March, and for those accepted, confirmation of attendance will be due by EOB on Wednesday, April 1.

If they do not have an umbrella school, they should submit a PDF document that includes "Homeschool Transcript" at the top, including courses from 9th, 10th, and if applicable, 11th grade with the course and grade listed.
Can I submit test scores with my application?
- The selection committee does not review SAT or ACT scores, so students should not submit these scores with their application.
If accepted, how long do I have to pay the camp fees and accept my spot?
- Applicants who are accepted will be notified in mid-March. Camp Fees will be due by EOB on Wednesday, April 1 to secure their spot in the camp.
Is there a waitlist for applicants who are not accepted?
- Applicants who are not accepted are placed on a ranked waitlist. The rankings are not released.
