The MAq is a non-thesis degree that prepares students for a career in aquaculture management or extension.
Program Requirements
The degree requires successful completion of a minimum of 42 semester hours beyond the bachelor's degree, including:
- Graduate business-related courses (6-12 hours)
- Several FISH courses, including:
- FISH 6210: Principles of Aquaculture
- FISH 6220: Water Science
- FISH 6240: Hatchery Management
- FISH 6250: Aquaculture Production
- FISH 6410: Introduction to Fish Health
- FISH 7640: Fish Nutrition
- FISH 7950: Exit Seminar
- A 3- to 5-month internship (FISH 7920)
