The Ph.D. in Mathematics is designed to provide students with a thorough understanding of a broad body of knowledge related to their field of study, as well as to develop their research capabilities.

Program Requirements

To complete the Ph.D. program, students are required to:

• Pass one oral and three written preliminary examinations
• Complete a statistics concentration, if chosen (see Statistics)

Course Details

• MATH 8990: Research And Dissertation (10-11 credits)
• Approved Electives (39 credits)
• Total Hours: 60
