Program Overview


Introduction to the Program

The School of Fisheries, Aquaculture, and Aquatic Sciences (SFAAS) undergraduate program is designed to prepare students for productive careers in the private and public sectors in aquaculture, aquatic resource management and ecology, and fisheries biology and management.


Program Options

SFAAS offers three options within its B.S. program:


  • Option in Fisheries and Aquaculture
  • Option in Marine Resources Management
  • Pre-professional Option in Fisheries, Aquaculture, and Aquatic Sciences

Program Requirements

The undergraduate programs require a minimum of 120-122 credit hours, depending on the option pursued. The program includes many required core classes, as well as more specialized courses required for each of the three undergraduate B.S. options.
