Program Overview
Introduction to the Interior Design Program
The Interior Design program at Auburn University is a competitive and highly sought-after major. Students who desire to major in Interior Design will be admitted to Pre-Interior Design (INDX) and must complete the first year of Pre-Interior Design course work with a grade of "C" or better to be evaluated for possible admission into the Interior Design curriculum.
Admission Criteria
Admission into the Interior Design program (sophomore-senior levels) is limited, with a maximum class size of 60 students per year. Admission will be based upon a portfolio review by the Interior Design faculty of selected work completed in the Pre-Interior Design course work.
Program Requirements
Most course work in the major must be taken in sequence, and transfer students should anticipate that additional semesters of study may be required to complete the program. Students in INDS must earn a grade of a "C" or higher in all prerequisite courses in the major before being allowed to proceed to the next course in the sequence.
