Program Overview
Film and Media Studies (FMDA) Program
The Film and Media Studies (FMDA) program is a major that requires students to apply for admission. To be eligible, students must meet the following criteria:
- Complete CMJN 2100 with a C or better.
- Complete MDIA 2350 with a C or better.
- Successfully complete 30 hours of degree-applicable course credits and be a student in good standing at the time of application.
- Submit a well-written 300-word essay explaining why a chosen example of a popular film, TV show, or song is significant, and how the FMDA program fits with their academic and professional goals.
- Students who transfer to Auburn University must complete at least one semester before applying to the FMDA major.
