Program Overview
The Temporary Special Education Certificate Approach (T-SEC) is a professional educator certification program designed for individuals seeking temporary special education certification in grades 6-12. The program offers five courses, which are part of the requirements for obtaining Class B certification.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the T-SEC program, individuals must meet the following criteria:
- Have a bachelor's degree in any field
- Have an overall GPA of 2.5
- Be employed in a grades 6-12 setting
- Complete required modules
- Meet other requirements as specified by the Alabama State Department of Education
Course Requirements
The T-SEC program consists of the following courses, offered over three semesters:
