Program Overview


Bachelor of Electrical Engineering

Introduction

The Bachelor of Electrical Engineering program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the application and control of electricity. Graduates of this program are prepared to work and continue learning within any segment of the industry, including generating and distributing electrical power, designing advanced medical imaging and diagnostic equipment, creating communication systems, and building next-generation robots.


Eligibility

To be eligible for this program, students must have been accepted by Auburn University, which also grants acceptance into the pre-engineering program of the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering. Once students successfully navigate the pre-engineering program, they become eligible for the Bachelor of Electrical Engineering program.


Program Requirements

To complete the program, students must successfully complete undergraduate electrical engineering courses in seven areas, including:


  • Circuit analysis
  • Communications
  • Control systems
  • Digital computer design
  • Electronics
  • Electromagnetics
  • Power systems

Academic Advising

Once admitted into Auburn Engineering's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, students will work with the department's undergraduate Academic Advisor to create a plan of study each semester.
