Program Overview
Introduction to the Accelerated Bachelor's/Master's Program
The Accelerated Bachelor's/Master's Program (ABM) offers outstanding students in the School of Fisheries, Aquaculture, and Aquatic Sciences an opportunity to earn both the bachelor's and the master's degrees in less time and at less cost than usual. The ABM program allows these exceptional students to count up to 9 hours toward both the bachelor's and master's degrees.
Bachelor of Science in Fisheries, Aquaculture, and Aquatic Sciences
The Bachelor of Science in Fisheries, Aquaculture, and Aquatic Sciences in either the Pre-Vet Option, Fisheries and Aquaculture Option, or Marine Resource Management Option can lead to a Master of Science in Fisheries, Aquaculture, and Aquatic Sciences or a Master of Aquaculture in Fisheries, Aquaculture, and Aquatic Sciences.

The following courses are approved for the ABM program:
- FISH 6210: Principles of Aquaculture (Replaces FISH 5210 Principles of Aquaculture) - 3 hours
- FISH 6220: Water Science (Replaces FISH 5220 Water Science) - 3 hours
- FISH 6380: General Ichthyology (Replaces FISH 5380 General Ichthyology) - 4 hours
- FISH 6410: Introduction to Fish Health (FISH 5410 Introduction to Fish Health) - 3 hours
- FISH 6510: Fisheries Biology and Management (Replaces FISH 5510 Fisheries Biology and Management) - 4 hours
- FISH 6240: Hatchery Management (Replaces FISH Hatchery Management) - 4 hours
- FISH 6320: Limnology (Replaces FISH 5320 Limnology) - 3 hours
