The Higher Education Administration program is designed to provide an introduction to the unique world of higher education and how higher education works. This online program is offered by the University of Manitoba's Extended Education and is intended to complement onboarding at Canadian universities, colleges, and polytechnics.

Courses
The program includes the following courses:
- Higher Education in Canada: This course explores the history, culture, governance, and funding of higher education in Canada.
- Indigenous Perspectives in Higher Education: This course examines the Indigenous perspective in the colonial context and explores how to respond to the impact of colonialism.
- Students in Higher Education: This course navigates shared issues, such as mental health, for diverse contexts and explores relevant data sources, demographic trends, new legislation, and service models.
- The Higher Education Administrative Professional: This course provides an overview of the role of the administrative professional in higher education and explores topics such as leadership, management, and organizational development.
Admission Requirements
- Grade 12 Diploma or Equivalent: Applicants must have a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
- Mature Student Status: Applicants who do not meet the Grade 12 diploma requirement may be considered for mature student status.
- English Proficiency: If the primary language is not English, proof of English proficiency is required.
- Transcripts: Learners with one or more years of university courses outside of the University of Manitoba must provide an official transcript.
