Admission Information

Admission requirements are those of the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
Degree Requirements
Where admission to the Ph.D. is directly from a Master's Degree, a minimum of 6 credit hours at the 7000 level or higher plus a thesis is required. Any further coursework beyond the minimum 6 credit hours at the 7000 level must be at the 3000 level or above. Where students have completed the minimum of 12 credit hours of 7000 level coursework required to transfer to the Ph.D., 6 additional credit hours of 7000 level or higher coursework plus a thesis are required.

All students must successfully complete:
- GRAD 7300 prior to applying to any ethics boards or within the first year
- GRAD 7500 within the first term of registration
- Additional BFAR requirements specified for their program
