Pathway to Indigenous Nursing Education
Mahkwa Omushki Kiim: Pathway to Indigenous Nursing Education (PINE) is designed to provide First Nations, Mťtis, and Inuit students with academic, personal, and cultural support to help them succeed in the Bachelor of Nursing (BN) degree program. This unique program is available to students with Canadian Indigenous ancestry who are interested in pursuing a career in nursing.
Clinical Competence Assessment
The Clinical Competence Assessment Centre for Nursing offers assessments for registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and authorized prescribers. These evaluations assess nursing knowledge, skills, and judgment to ensure entry-level competencies are met. The centre also provides professional development courses to support career growth, available to both domestic and international nurses.
