Introduction to AUN DPPnet Programs
The AUN DPPnet offers a variety of programs and activities focused on accessibility, universal design, and disability inclusion. These programs aim to promote inclusive learning environments and support the development of individuals with disabilities.
Capacity Building Programs
- Accessibility & Universal Design Training Course: This program is designed to enhance knowledge and skills in accessibility and universal design. It has been conducted annually since its inception, with the 2021 program being the fifth edition. The 2021 program was held virtually via Zoom Meeting from June 8, 2021, to June 26, 2021, and was attended by 41 participants with disabilities from 7 ASEAN countries.
- The program received positive feedback, with participants appreciating the comprehensive coverage of urban design concepts for people with disabilities, the elderly, and those with special needs.
- Participants also valued the opportunity to share best practices and learn from each other, highlighting the importance of collaboration and knowledge sharing among countries.
Events and Activities
- Executive Board Meetings: AUN-DPPnet conducts regular Executive Board Meetings, with meetings held in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2023, 2024, and 2025.
- International Disability Inclusion Symposium (IDIS): The symposium aims to promote disability inclusion and has been held in several editions, including the 5th and 6th IDIS.
- AUN-DPPnet Scholars Support Plan: This plan is designed to provide support to scholars, although specific details are not provided.
