Program Overview

Introduction to AUN DPPnet

The ASEAN University Network Disability and Public Policy (AUN-DPPnet) is the ninth thematic network for ASEAN University Network. The network is fully funded by the Nippon Foundation, Japan-based at the University of Malaya, Malaysia. The AUN-DPPnet aims to contribute to human resource development in ASEAN by building a cadre of disability policy leaders who can help to facilitate the vision of ASEAN.

Program Overview

Accessibility & Universal Design Training Programme 2020

The program is a fundamental course to acquire the skills of understanding accessibility and universal design. This course focuses on policies and implementation, on how the participant can apply the skill learned in their hometown. The training is based on the access auditor training courses developed from UNESCAP. Lectures, workshops, fieldwork, simulation, and case studies are the methods to be utilized in order to gain knowledge and practical hands-on training.

Program Structure

• The program includes visits to notable locations such as the Museum Kuala Lumpur and Universiti Malaya for access audit reports.
• Certificate Giving Ceremony is part of the program.
• Program days are conducted with notable figures such as Dr. Mastura Adam and Madam Hjh Dalilah Bee Abdullah.
