Introduction to the Asian International Mobility for Students (AIMS) Programme
The Asian International Mobility for Students (AIMS) Programme is a regional initiative by SEAMEO RIHED to support student mobility and enhance cooperation in higher education among Asian countries. It provides a multilateral platform for academic exchange and collaboration, aiming to strengthen regional integration and community building. The programme offers students opportunities to study abroad within selected disciplines, advancing their learning and intercultural skills as global citizens.
AIMS Disciplines
The AIMS Programme promotes mobility in 10 different disciplines, including:
- Biodiversity
- Environmental Management and Science
- International Business
- Language and Culture

AIMS Destinations
Under the AIMS Programme, students can explore participating universities in various countries that match the offered disciplines. The programme is open to students from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Faculty of Languages and Linguistics, Faculty of Creative Arts, Faculty of Business and Economics, and Faculty of Science.
Application for the AIMS Programme
The application timeline for the AIMS Programme is as follows:
- Semester 1 (Fall Intake): Applications are accepted from January 1 to March 31 each year.
- Semester 2 (Spring Intake): Applications are accepted from August 1 to October 31 each year.
