The program covers Forty-Three (43) credit hours, which includes:


  • Twenty-Eight (28) credit hours for core courses
  • Three (3) credit hours for elective courses
  • 12 credit hours for research

  • POL7001: Research Methodology in Special Education (3 credits)
  • POL7002: Development in Special Education (3 credits)
  • POL7003: Curriculum, Assessment and Evaluation for Children with Special Needs (3 credits)
  • POL7004: Instructional Approaches for Students with Mild, Moderate and Severe Disabilities (3 credits)

Elective Courses

  • Students must select one of the following elective courses:
    • POL 7005: Diagnosis and Remedial in Reading (3 credits)
