University Program Overview
The master's degree program in nursing is designed to bring together graduate registered nurses from undergraduate schools of healthcare sciences and engage them in advanced studies to produce nursing specialists with master's degrees. The doctoral degree program in nursing focuses on developing human resources who can make a creative contribution to nursing science, facilitating the advancement of theory construction and systematization in nursing science to comply with the requirements of complex and diversified healthcare and nursing.
Major Fields of Study
The nursing degree programs offer four major fields of study at the master's level:
- Nursing Science
- Advanced Public Health Nursing
- Advanced Midwifery
- Advanced Practice Nursing
- The latter three take practical approaches designed for specialized nursing education.
- Advanced Public Health Nursing is a program to train public health nurses.
- Advanced Midwifery prepares registered nurse-midwives.
- Advanced Practice Nursing develops specialized nurses in cancer care. At the doctoral level, an integrated major field of study in Nursing Sciences is offered.
