The course requires the acquisition of 120 CFU and aims to train professionals who can intervene with advanced skills in assistance, management, training, prevention, and research processes in the fields relevant to the different health professions included in the class (nurse, midwife, pediatric nurse). At the end of the course, the student must be able to design, plan, coordinate, and implement assistance interventions in preventive, curative, palliative, and rehabilitative fields, taking into account the needs of the community, the development of new work organization methods, technological and computer innovation, and implementing, where possible, forms of teleassistance or teledidactics, aiming to align operational standards with those of the European Union.
Professional Outcomes
The Master's graduate in Nursing and Obstetric Sciences can be employed in health and social assistance structures with functions of direction and coordination of services, with functions of professional leader for the design, implementation, and development of innovative assistance and research projects, and for the reorganization of assistance processes. They can also perform functions of direction and teaching in all types of university courses aimed at health professions, such as degree courses, master's degrees, specialization courses, refresher courses, and continuing education courses.
