Program Overview


Introduction to the Master's Program

The Master's program in "Economia e progettazione europea dello sviluppo territoriale sostenibile" (MEPE) is a second-level master's degree that lasts for one year, offered in a blended mode. The program aims to provide students with the necessary tools for planning, programming, and designing sustainable territorial development, creating professionals capable of preparing or supporting projects that can be financed with European funds.


Objectives of the Master's Program

The Master's program aims to provide students with the skills necessary for sustainable action in the territorial and cultural fields, including the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for integrated territorial planning, methodologies for integrated tourist management plans, collaborative and participatory design processes, and "Tourism" Analytics. The program also covers economics and law of culture, business management and organization applied to cultural enterprises, design of territorialized cultural networks, cultural production, and digital heritage.


Target Audience

The Master's program is open to young people or those already employed in the public or private sector, as well as professionals who already possess a degree (second-level or old system) in Economics, Letters and Philosophy, Sciences of Communication, Law, Engineering, Architecture, Mathematical, Physical, and Natural Sciences, Statistical Sciences, or Political Sciences, or equivalent titles obtained abroad.


Admission Requirements

To be admitted to the Master's program, students must possess a degree obtained in Italy or abroad in the relevant fields. The title of access must be possessed at the time of enrollment, before the start of the training activities.


Training Offer

The Master's program has a total duration of one academic year, with 60 CFU (university credits) distributed over eight months in a mixed presence/distance mode, and a three-month training internship.

  • Principi ed Istituzioni di economia: teorie e modelli dello sviluppo economico verso la green economy
  • Teorie e pratiche verso la green economy
  • Economia, banca, finanza a sostegno delle politiche europee, e.government
  1. Principi europei di programmazione e pianificazione economico territoriale sostenibile (European principles of sustainable economic-territorial programming and planning)
  • Principi europei di programmazione e pianificazione economico territoriale sostenibile e focus sulle aree e settori di valorizzazione territoriale
  • Elementi di programmazione e pianificazione nel quadro di Europa e post con attenzione ai piani di valorizzazione del territorio

Enrollment and Admission Procedures

The selection of enrolled students will take place through the evaluation of their curriculum vitae, followed by an orientation interview. The frequency of attendance at the Master's program must be at least 75% of the scheduled hours.


Costs of the Master's Program

The participation fee is € 5,000.00.


Additional Information

The Master's program is coordinated by Prof.ssa Maria Prezioso. It is possible to enroll in individual modules. The program is offered by the Department of Management and Law at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata".
