Program Overview

The Master's program in Sustainable Risk Management for Environment, Health, and Safety (HSEQ) is offered by the Scuola IaD at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata". The program aims to train professionals who can assess risks to the environment, health, and safety potentially induced by works and infrastructures, and operate in the typical areas of HSEQ structures in companies and environmental and workplace safety consulting firms.


Program Objectives

The program's objective is to provide students with the skills to evaluate environmental impacts, with specific reference to monitoring, modeling, and mitigating impacts; safety management systems in the workplace; risk assessment related to plants at risk of major accidents; and corporate roles and responsibilities in the HSEQ sector. The training provided will enable students to access the following job opportunities:


  • Environmental consultants (management and mitigation of environmental risks)
  • Professional figures in the corporate HSEQ sector
  • Workplace safety consultants
  • Expert in risk analysis of contaminated sites

Admission Requirements

Candidates with the following second-level degrees (specialized or master's) and old system degrees, or equivalent degrees, are admitted:

The suitability of degrees in other disciplines, provided they are at the required level, is determined by the Master's teaching staff; the equivalence of other academic qualifications, obtained in Italy or abroad, for the purpose of enrolling in the Master's program, is determined by the Didactic-Scientific Committee of the Scuola IaD, upon proposal by the Master's teaching staff. This is subject to the coherence and consistency between the degree held and the scientific-disciplinary and professional content proposed by the Master's program.
