Program Overview

Introduction to the NOHA+ Program

The NOHA+ program is an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's Degree in International and European Law, Humanitarian Law, and Action. This interdisciplinary, multi-disciplinary graduate program provides high-quality academic education and professional skills for personnel destined to operate in international contexts.

Objectives and Activities

The program aims to provide practical teaching designed to enable students to become operational as lawyers or humanitarian workers in complex environments, such as conflict zones, humanitarian emergencies, and natural disasters. The Master's program combines theoretical and analytical knowledge and skills with a practical approach, taught by over 150 in-house experts and lecturers with field experience.

Key Features

  • The program is the first Master's program in the field of humanitarian studies, created in 1993 with the support of the European Commission.
  • Aix-Marseille University has been a partner of the program since its inception.
  • The interdisciplinary, multicultural, and multilingual courses are taught by experts with field experience.
  • Over 3,000 graduates work worldwide in humanitarian aid and international cooperation for organizations and institutions in the field.

Innovative Aspect

One of the unique elements of the program is the mobility that lies at the heart of the NOHA experience. Students work in different universities and benefit from rich cultural and linguistic interaction.
