Description
The Bachelor Universitaire de Technologie (BUT) in Information Communication is a three-year program that aims to train specialists in the promotion and dissemination of books, magazines, and other publishing supports (sound, video, digital). Upon completion of the program, graduates will be able to work in various fields such as publishing, bookstores, or libraries, and will have the skills to adapt to changing professions.
Objectives
The program's objective is to provide students with the necessary skills to develop cultural offerings, implement mediation devices or sales strategies for audiences or clients, and manage cultural organizations. The program also focuses on acquiring specific skills in information-communication and humanities and social sciences.
Public Visé
The program is designed for:
- Holders of a baccalaureate or equivalent degree, with a preference for students who have taken courses in humanities, literature, philosophy, arts, history, geography, languages, and social sciences.
- Beneficiaries of a Validation of Acquired Experience (VAE).
Conditions d'Admission
Admission to the program is through:
- Parcoursup recruitment
- Application review, taking into account motivation, intellectual curiosity, general culture, and readings, particularly of contemporary authors.
Structure and Organization
The program combines general culture and professional education with practical technical training. The total course hours are 1,800 hours over three years, plus 600 hours of tutored projects. Students will complete between 22 and 26 weeks of internships in France or abroad, distributed progressively over three years. The third year of the program is done through an apprenticeship.
