Programme Overview

The Licence professionnelle Métiers de la radioprotection et de la sécurité nucléaire is a professional degree program offered by the Institut Universitaire de Technologie (IUT) at Aix-Marseille Université. The program focuses on the control of ionizing radiation and the application of protection techniques.


Objectives

The program aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to evaluate radiological risks, choose appropriate measurement and analysis techniques, organize and supervise radioprotection work, and adapt protection techniques to different contexts and regulations.

The program is organized in a competency-based approach and is accessible through alternation (apprenticeship or professionalization contract), validation of acquired experience (VAE), and continuing education. The pedagogical program consists of 450 hours of teaching and 150 hours of tutored projects. The instructors are professionals from the nuclear industry (CEA, Orano, IRSN, EDF, Hospitals, etc.) with significant experience in pedagogical animation.
