Master Géographie, Aménagement, Environnement et Développement
The Master's program in Geography, Planning, Environment, and Development is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the geographical sciences, with a focus on local, regional, Mediterranean, European, and international dimensions.
Objectives
The program aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage and develop territories, taking into account environmental, social, and economic factors. The program covers a wide range of topics, including:
- Geographical analysis and modeling of territories
- Environmental and societal issues related to coastal areas and their management
- Expertise in planning and operational management of urban and rural spaces
Public Visé
The program is designed for students and professionals holding a degree in geography, planning, mathematics, and computer science applied to human and social sciences, and environmental sciences, who wish to pursue a career in territory management and planning.
Conditions d'Admission
To be eligible for the program, students must hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent. For students whose native language is not French, a minimum level of B2 in French is required.
Prérequis Obligatoires
Students must have a solid academic background in geography, planning, and environmental sciences, as well as a good command of written and spoken French and English.
Structure and Organisation
The program is divided into three tracks:
- COAST (COAStal managemenT and vulnerabilities)
- GMS (Géomatique et modélisation spatiale – Geomatic and Spatial Modelling)
- TSA (Territoires, Société, Aménagement)
Each track has its own specific objectives and coursework.

The program is taught at the ALLSH campus in Aix-en-Provence.
