Program Overview

The M2 Gestion des ressources humaines | Parcours Coaching dans les organisations (Coaching) is a master's program offered by Aix-Marseille Université. This program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a coach-consultant in various types of organizations.


Objectives

The program aims to train students to become independent coach-consultants or salaried coaches in private, public, and associative sectors. Upon completion of the program, graduates will be able to:


  • Present and argue the benefits of the coaching approach
  • Analyze the needs of clients to establish the content of the intervention
  • Propose and negotiate a contract of intervention
  • Conduct interviews with individuals and groups to define their resources, objectives, and obstacles
  • Implement a methodology to achieve the objectives set out in the contract of intervention
  • Complete and improve their intervention techniques

Curriculum

The program consists of two semesters:


Semestre 3 M2 GRH Parcours type Coaching dans les organisations (Coaching)

  • BCC 1: Implement a coaching approach to achieve the objectives set out in the contract of intervention
    • The coaching individual (6 credits)
      • The coaching relationship and definition of the request
      • The contract: legal, relational, tripartite
    • The coaching team and organization (6 credits)
      • Team coaching
      • Organizational coaching
  • BCC 2: Present coaching activity to organizations and collaborators
    • The posture of the coach (6 credits)
      • The qualities of the coach
      • Coaching ethics
  • BCC 3: Analyze the needs of the client to define the needs and objectives of the intervention
    • The company and its challenges (6 credits)
      • Business strategies
      • HR practices and business organization
  • BCC 4: Conduct interviews with individuals and groups accompanied
    • Overview of the main theoretical concepts used in coaching (6 credits)
      • Transactional analysis and integrative psychotherapy
      • Systemic analysis and other coaching approaches

Semestre 4 M2 GRH Parcours type Coaching dans les organisations (Coaching)

  • BCC 5: Complete and improve intervention techniques
    • Supervision and integration of the coach's posture (12 credits)
    • Coaching practice workshop and feedback
    • Analysis of practice and development plan
  • BCC 6: Conception, writing, and evaluation of a coaching proposal
    • Accompaniment to the professional project/memoir (18 credits)
    • Professional project and business creation
    • Accompaniment and co-development/memoir

Admission

To be eligible for the program, applicants must:


  • Hold a master's degree or equivalent
  • For holders of a bachelor's degree or equivalent, admission will be subject to a Validation of Acquired Professional Experience (VAP) after a favorable opinion from the pedagogical manager of the training

Practical Information

  • The program is attached to the LEST, UMR 7317 AMU-CNRS, a multidisciplinary laboratory (management sciences, economics, sociology, political science, law)
  • The program is accessible in continuing education
  • A professional project must be implemented around the realization of a memoir aiming to deepen and appropriate a coaching method or approach
  • Courses are organized on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, one week out of two, from September to June, in Aix-en-Provence
  • Volume of hours: 300 hours of courses and 48 hours of exams and defense
