The DESU Modťlisation et simulation, approches de population en pharmacocinťtique is a university program designed to provide participants with advanced skills in population modeling, a highly sought-after competency in the pharmaceutical industry and regulatory agencies related to medicine and toxicology.

Objectives

The objective of the program is for participants to master the concepts and in silico tools for population models.

Target Audience

The program is intended for professionals or doctoral students in the fields of pharmacology or toxicology working in the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory agencies, hospitals, or research laboratories.

Admission Requirements

  • A master's degree or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Preliminary knowledge of pharmacokinetics is a prerequisite.
  • Basic scientific knowledge (mathematics, biology, chemistry) is also necessary.

Structure and Organization

The program consists of 4 weeks of teaching, grouped into 2 dense sessions (2 CESU). Enrollment is possible for a single academic year or over two years.

Registration Regimes

This program is accessible in:

  • Continuing education (FC)
  • Initial training (FI)

Knowledge to be Acquired

The DESU consists of two CESU: "Fundamentals for modeling and simulation in pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics" followed by "Advanced training in population approaches in pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics". Each CESU provides more detailed information.

Skills to be Acquired

After the training, participants should be able to implement, interpret, and evaluate complex PK/PD models with relevance.

Partnerships

The program has partnerships with several organizations, including:

  • Roche
  • Novartis
  • Genentech
  • Sanofi
  • Certara
  • UCB
  • Servier
  • Galderma
  • Universitť Paul Sabatier
  • Universitť de Montpellier
  • Universitť de Bourgogne
  • APHM

Program Details

The DESU "Modťlisation et simulation : approches de population en pharmacocinťtique/pharmacodynamie" certifies an advanced level of competence in population modeling after the validation of the two CESU. This certification is highly valued for numerous positions in the pharmaceutical industry and regulatory agencies related to medicine and toxicology.
