Program Overview


Master Qualité, Hygične, Sécurité, Environnement (QHSE) - Parcours Systčmes de Management et Excellence Opérationnelle (SMEOP)

The SMEOP track of the QHSE Master's program offers a transversal, multidisciplinary, and managerial approach to train future QHSE managers.


Objectives

The SMEOP track aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of quality, hygiene, safety, and environmental management systems. The program focuses on developing students' ability to design, implement, and manage these systems in various organizations.


Target Audience

The program is designed for students who have completed 180 credits (equivalent to a Bachelor's degree) in any field, as well as professionals seeking to enhance their skills in QHSE management.


Prerequisites

  • Diploma Required: Any Bachelor's degree (L3) or equivalent.
  • Recommended Prerequisites: Transdisciplinary skills, ability to mobilize and capitalize on scientific approaches to improve organizations.

Structure and Organization

The SMEOP track is a two-year program, with a structure based on a competency-based approach. The program includes:


  • APP (Apprentissage par Problčme et par Projet): A problem-based and project-based learning approach.
  • Basic Teaching Modules: Providing core knowledge and skills in QHSE management.
  • Transversal Skills Modules: Focusing on soft skills, methods, and communication.

Duration and Rythme

  • Duration: 1 year in alternance.
  • Rythme: 1 month in enterprise / 1 month in formation.

Modalities of Control of Knowledge

Continuous assessment of knowledge through exams, written and oral presentations. A grand written exam at the end of M1 and a grand oral exam at the end of M2.


Formation and Research

Ongoing research collaborations with international teams on topics such as "quality and higher education," "quality and pedagogy," and "information systems and quality."


Competencies to Acquire

  • Design, implement, and manage quality, environment, hygiene, safety, energy, information security, business continuity, IT services, and security management systems.
  • Support and develop the design, implementation, and management of any management system.
  • Communicate clearly and rigorously in French and English, using information and communication technologies.
  • Develop and implement projects, ensuring the development and management of work groups in multicultural professional environments.

Stages and Supervised Projects

Proposals for apprenticeship contracts are sent by partner companies. Future apprentices also search for their own contracts. Missions are validated by the program director before acceptance of the apprenticeship contract.


Pedagogical Modalities

The majority of the units are organized in APP sequences, allowing students to discover new concepts by solving problems. These APPs lead to the acquisition of several well-determined competencies.
