The Licence professionnelle Métiers de l'industrie: industrie aéronautique is a professional degree program focused on the aeronautical industry. It is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in this field.
Objectives
The program aims to equip students with the competencies required to master and develop aeronautical techniques, particularly in the areas of maintenance, project management, optimization of processes and costs, and safety. The curriculum includes five specializations:
- Motorisation verte aéronautique (Green Aeronautical Motorization)
- Technologie des aéronefs (Aircraft Technology)
- Maintenance aéronautique (Aeronautical Maintenance)
- Opérationnalité des systčmes aéronautiques et spatiaux (Operationality of Aeronautical and Space Systems)
- Pilotage navigation aérienne (Air Navigation Pilotage)
Target Audience
The program is intended for individuals holding a Bac+2 degree in technical, technological, or industrial fields, or an equivalent level recognized by the Commission de Validation des Acquis. This includes:
- BUT/DUT in Mechanical Engineering and Productics, Physical Measurements, Thermal Engineering and Energy, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Engineering, etc.
- BTS with a technological or industrial focus, such as Aeronautics, Industrial Maintenance, Electronics, Electrotechnics, etc.
- L2 STPI, DEUST, CPGE with special commission advice
- VAE, VAP
Admission Criteria
Admission is based on a dossier review and an interview, which can be conducted in person at the IUT site in Aix-en-Provence or remotely, between mid-May and July. Applications open in late February through the e-candidat portal.
Structure and Organization
The program is accessible through alternation (apprenticeship or professionalization contract), VAE (Validation of Acquired Experience), and continuing education. Theoretical courses take place at POLYAERO Hautes-Alpes in Gap-Tallard from mid-October to the end of December and from the end of February to the end of June.
Teaching Sites
The program is taught at the IUT in Gap, with classes held at the Polyaero training center at the Gap-Tallard airport.
Skills to be Acquired
Upon completion of the program, graduates will be competent in:
- Understanding the nature and operation of aircraft, engines, or equipment, from design to dismantling
- Integrating aeronautical engineering concepts to contribute to their implementation
- Exploiting regulatory documentation from manufacturers, operators, and aeronautical authorities
- Analyzing and applying specifications and determining necessary improvement and reliability actions based on technology, regulatory documentation, and quality, cost, and deadline criteria
- Planning and managing production orders, supplies, respecting deadline, cost objectives, and using Computer-Assisted Management software
- Analyzing, synthesizing, forecasting internal and external needs, and being reactive to their evolution
- Working in a team and interacting with professional actors and partners
- Communicating in French and English
