The Master Ingénierie de la santé is a 120-credit program that includes several parcours, one of which is the Prévention des Risques et Nuisances Technologiques (PRNT) parcours.
Description
The PRNT parcours aims to train specialists in the evaluation, management, and control of technological risks and nuisances for the protection and preservation of human health and the environment.
Objectives
The objectives of the PRNT parcours are to:
- Form specialists in the evaluation, management, and control of technological risks and nuisances
- Enable students to acquire and communicate their competencies and expertise in the field of risk inventory, risk analysis, and prevention, protection, and intervention management
Conditions of Admission
To be admitted to the program, students must:
- Hold a License degree in the field of Sciences, Sciences and Techniques, or Health
- Have a contract for an apprenticeship or a professionalization contract with a host company
Recommended Prerequisites
It is recommended that students have a License degree in the field of Sciences, Sciences and Techniques, or Health, and benefit from an apprenticeship or professionalization contract with a host company.
Sites of Instruction
The program is taught at the Faculté de Pharmacie in Marseille.
Formation and Research
The PRNT parcours is part of a research-based approach, with a focus on the emergence of new technologies, pollution problems, and environmental and health impacts. The research themes of the PRNT team include:
- Biotechnology for depollution using competent bacteria
- Study of compounds suspected of being mutagenic and/or toxic to reproduction
- Physico-chemistry of nanoparticles and evaluation of their toxicity
- Role of pollutants in human infertility
- Development of methods for detecting biologically interesting molecules through interaction with nano-composite materials
- Development of methods for separating radio-isotopes for health applications
Competencies to be Acquired
The PRNT parcours aims to enable students to acquire the following competencies:
- Evaluation, management, and control of technological risks and nuisances
- Risk inventory and analysis
- Prevention, protection, and intervention management
- Communication of expertise and competencies in the field of risk management
Stages and Projects
50% of the program is carried out in a company (alternance), and 10% of the academic training consists of a supervised project.
