TU MET-MALE Program
Objective
The objective of the TU MET-MALE program is to understand and master the main methods of machine learning to analyze health data.
Knowledge to be Acquired
Students will acquire knowledge of the main methods of machine learning, from their fundamental concepts to their contextualized use in analyzing health data.
Skills to be Acquired
Students will be able to perform and interpret an analysis using machine learning methods.
Description
The program covers:
- General theoretical framework for machine learning
- k-means
- Vector machine support
- Tree-based methods, bagging, random forests, boosting
- Neural networks
Pedagogical Method
The program uses online courses via NetConference and distance mentoring over the Internet.
Prerequisite
Students must have knowledge of computer use, word processing, and computer presentation tools.
Total Hours
The program consists of between 20 and 30 hours per NetConference, plus personal work.

The program is worth 6 ECTS credits.
