Course Descriptions

UE STA-XCLA

• Objective: Acquire methods for exploratory multivariate data analysis, including implementation and result analysis.
• Knowledge to Acquire: Understand specifics related to high-dimensional data, principles, and methods of PLS regression and classification.
• Skills to Acquire: Be capable of performing and interpreting PLS regression and supervised or unsupervised classification analyses.
• Description: Covers regression PLS and classification methods.
• Pedagogical Method: Courses via video conferencing, distance tutoring on the internet.
• Prerequisites: Having followed UE STA-XDIM or knowledge of the framework of factorial analyses. Basic computer skills, including text processing and presentation software. Basic use of R software.
• Recommended Prerequisites: None specified.

• Total Hours: Between 10 and 15 hours of video conferencing courses + personal work.

• Knowledge Control: A single knowledge control session is organized, following the rules of Aix Marseille University. This session includes:
  • Continuous control with various assignments, tests, and exercises, with a coefficient of 2 in the final grade.
  • A supervised "on-table" exam, with a coefficient of 3 in the final grade. A nominative convocation will be sent by email to each student.
