The Master's Degree in Geography, Planning, Environment, and Development is a comprehensive program that covers the spectrum of geographic sciences with a triple dimension: local and regional, Mediterranean (North and South) and European, and international (Maghreb and sub-Saharan Africa, North America, and Asia).

The program combines professional training and applied research, offering advanced methods of analysis and modeling of territories, environmental and societal problems of coastal areas, and expertise in planning and operational management of urban and rural areas.

The program is aimed at students and professionals with degrees in geography, planning, mathematics, and computer science applied to the humanities and social sciences, and environmental sciences who want to train in the fields of territorial management and urban, rural, and coastal planning.
Admission Conditions

Fundamental Prerequisites
Solid academic standards throughout the undergraduate program, with particular importance given to results in disciplines closely related to the selective master's degree. For non-French speaking applicants, a minimum level B2 in French is required.

The program is organized around three pathways:
- COAST (COAStal management and vulnerabilities)
- GMS (Geomatics and Spatial Modeling)
- TSA (Territories, Society, Planning)
Learning Sites
The program is taught at the ALLSH campus in Aix-en-Provence (Schuman).
Learning and Research
The program is run by research centers, including UM 34 CEREGE (COAST), UMR CNRS 7300 ESPACE (GMS), and UMR CNRS 73003 TELEMME (TSA). Teaching is complemented by CIVIS European BIPs, an OCEAN season school, and AMIDEX SPAT.
Internships and Supervised Projects
Internships take place in the second semester of Master 2, and supervised projects are carried out as part of the Master 1 and 2 workshops.
Specific Teaching Conditions
Operational project-based training, complementary hybrid training, and digital course materials are used.
Offsite Teaching
A module of the Master 2 GMS runs in partnership with the universities of Avignon and Nice C矌e d'Azur.
