Introduction to the Ninth Local History and Literature Advanced Seminar

The Ninth Local History and Literature Advanced Seminar is organized by East China Normal University to strengthen academic exchanges between universities and local history and literature departments, promote local history and literature research, and better serve society.

Program Overview

The seminar will be held from October 31 to November 4, 2025, in Shanghai. It will feature special lectures by experienced professors from universities and discussions between young and middle-aged scholars and local history and literature research experts on topics such as the excavation, protection, sorting, and research of historical and cultural resources.

Eligibility and Application

• The seminar is open to research personnel from local history and literature related departments, such as libraries, archives, historical records offices, and party history offices.
• Applicants must be from relevant local history and literature work departments.

Application Procedure

• The application deadline is October 18, 2025.
• The seminar will take place from October 31 to November 4, 2025.

Treatment of Participants

• Formal participants will not be charged tuition fees.
• The organizing party will be responsible for the participants' food, accommodation, and conference materials during the seminar.
• Participants will be provided with a paper certificate of participation.
• Transportation fees to and from Shanghai will be borne by the participants themselves.
